Breastfeeding Friendly Leeds
Many places and venues in Leeds are very welcoming towards families, and breastfeeding families are no exception.
The Equality Act 2010 states you are legally allowed to breastfeed your baby in public, that might be a cafe, shop, library or on public transport (basically any business that provides a service to the public).
If you feel worried or self-conscious at first, try to remind yourself that you're doing the most natural thing for your baby. The more it's done, the more normal it will become.
All of our community centres, GP surgeries, libraries, Children's Centres, Health Centres, Family Hubs and many businesses, shops and venues have signed up to show their support by becoming Breastfeeding Friendly – they do this by being welcoming and making you feel comfortable.
If you would like to talk to someone about being more comfortable feeding in public, or if you just want the inside information about where is good to go, the Leeds Bosom Buddies are here for you. Find out more on the Leeds Bosom Buddies Facebook page or contact
