Preparation for Birth and Beyond

Preparation for Birth and Beyond is to help you and your partner think about the birth of your baby and the early months after your baby is born.

Birth registration

To register your child’s birth, please see the Leeds City Council page on registering a birth. You must register the birth within 42 days.

Baby Buddy app

Baby Buddy is your personal baby expert who will guide you through your pregnancy and the first six months of your baby’s life. She will be your virtual friend who will support you on your emotional, physical and social journey through pregnancy and becoming a new parent. Once you’ve created your Buddy, she will bring you daily information about you and your baby that is right for your baby’s age and personalised just for you. You can also ask her questions, use the app to keep track of appointments, find out about local services, set yourself goals, create a record of your pregnancy and your baby’s first months and watch a growing range of film clips in the video library.
