Improving the quality of learning and development for young children through training, support, advice and challenge to all early years providers.
The Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS) sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’ and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life. (EYFS, March 2014)
The team provides training, support, advice and challenge concerning the implementation of the EYFS across all types of early years provision - schools, children’s centres, full day care, pre-schools out of school clubs, play schemes and
childminders.
We have a passion for supporting all early years practitioners with continued professional development and ensuring that all young children consistently have access to high quality teaching and learning. Our Early years improvement team are education specialists consisting of Early years consultants and Childcare consultants, and all have extensive experience in improving the quality of practice and children’s outcomes.
